Torres del Paine

The towering mountains, of Torres del Paine National Park in the Chilean Patagonia region of Southern Chile.

Torres del Paine National Park has amazing natural scenery with towering mountains, glaciers, high altitude lakes and lagoons  and forests. The most famous sights in the park are the Torres del Paine, three large rock towers in the Paine Mountains. The mountaintops of Cuernos del Paine, the glacial lakes of Lago Grey, Lago Pehoe and Lago Nordenskjöld, and the Grey and Dickson Glaciers are also among the popular natural wonders of Torres del Paine National Park

The national park was founded in 1959, and renamed Torres del Paine in 1970. It was granted a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve status in 1978, and today, it is a popular outdoor activity destination with all types of  services for visitors.
